Challenge 10 – Host 12 monthly craft gatherings.
I always tell people that I’m going to have a get-together for crafting (knitting, scrapbooking, whatever). And yet, I can’t seem to get around to doing it. Read the rest of this entry »
Challenge 9 – Knit a set of dish towels for the new house.
I need more dish towels. I know how to knit. Why not combine the two, shall we? I have already purchased my kitchen cotton that coordinates with the paint I bought for the new house. I heard that handmade dishtowels get kind of rank, kind of quickly, and it was recommended that you use a more open stitch to encourage the cloth to air dry. Challenge 7 – Meet friends for lunch once per month for 6 months.

Challenge 6 – Take Kayleigh and William to the Dayton Art Institute.
I just saw on the Dayton Art Institute’s website that they offer family printmaking classes in April. How cool is that?!?!?! We are definitely signing up. And, after looking at all of the other things that they offer, I’m thinking it might be good just to get a membership for the family. Signing up for the classes would definitely be a good way to get motivated to FINALLY take the kids down there!
Challenge 5 – Participate in a craft swap by mail.
I kept reading about all these “swaps” that the knitting people were involved in, and they sounded like fun. So, I thought I might like to try it. I can’t remember how I found Swap-Bot, but suffice it to say that there are a ton of cool swaps that I could get myself into. And so, I did! Read the rest of this entry »
